J-Link Plus does not find devices on JTAG chain (J-Trace does)

Hello Wolfgang, Thank you for your inquiry. Such an issue is not known to us. Quoted Are there any special settings? We already tries to reduce the JTAG-Speed down to 5kHz. With what software are you trying to connect to the target devices? Are you using the exact same debug interface for J-Link as you did with J-Trace? Has anything changed between your setups or are they 100% the same except the used debug probe?? Quoted The "detect" button does not find anything. What detect button do you mean...

Cant connect to NUCLEO-H743ZI using JLink firmware on the OB ST-Link

Hi Evgeny, We are currently pretty much packed with paid projects until the end of the year. So a very rough estimate would be earliest end of Q1 2018. Should that not be fast enough you have the option to implement the reset handler per J-Link Scriptfile yourself. As basic debug support for the H7 is already given you only need to overwrite the default Reset behaviour for that device. You can do that with the ResetTarget() function described in the J-Link User manual in the Scriptfile chapter. ...

programming failed ATSAMD21G18 with SEGGER-EDU

Hi pak, Quoted Erase first then power on reset then program --> the same problem, please refer to attached pictures. After the power on reset you need to reconnect first to your target device again because the connection is lost. Sorry if i was a bit unclear here. So the correct steps would be 1. connect to target 2. erase 3. power on reset 4. connect to target again (either start J-Link Commander again or execute "connect" again in the running session) 5. loadfile does that work? Unfortunatly w...

Fail to connect to Segger J-Link Pro with Ethernet connection, using TCP/IP

Hello, Quoted Do you have any suggestions about what sort of network/firewall setup may affect this - the Segger's tunneling server? As this is just the out-going single TCP/IP pipe, going out to Segger' server (in Germany?) Hard to tell as we don't know your network/firewall setup. I suggest using Wireshark and see if the packets from your PC leave the company's outgoing connection and if the incoming stream is reaching your PC. Quoted Also, would it be possible for Segger make a special JLinkE...

Cant connect to NUCLEO-H743ZI using JLink firmware on the OB ST-Link

Hello Evgeny, Sorry for the delay in response. Quoted The default tickless idle does not go into deep sleep states This statement is not true for the projects you provided. The function prvIdleTask() calls portSUPPRESS_TICKS_AND_SLEEP which enables sleep mode when tickless mode is enabled. Currently we do not do any special connect handling for the H7 like we do for other ST devices like the L4 series (that is why it works here). We will see how and if it can be implemented for the H7 series as ...

programming failed ATSAMD21G18 with SEGGER-EDU

Hi pak, Thank you for providing the setup. Generally programming should work without any issues. Could you retry programming the hex file with J-Link Commander V6.20i and see if it works. If not try to erase the target beforehand, power on reset and then try to program. To update the DLL in Atmel Studio you can use the J-LinkDLLUpdater in the J-Link software install folder. Make sure Atmel Studio is closed when you try to update the DLL. Then Atmel Studio should be using the latest version as we...

Connecting with JLinkExe to iMX7D / M4 core after Linux booted on A7 resets SoC

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. We heard this reports a couple of times from customers booting Linux on their devices and losing the debug connection. The problem is that some Linux versions reconfigure the GPIOs that are used for the Debug connection per default. You need to adjust your Linux boot parameters to make sure that the debug connection stays untouched. Unfortunately we do not have a generic procedure for that as each Linux version needs different handling. But i hope the hint give...

Hello pak, Thank you for your inquiry. Such a behaviour is now known to us. I tried to reproduce the behaviour with your file but i could program it without any issues. Flash programming error on STM32L452

Hello Tosh, Thank you for your inquiry. Such an issue is not known to us. Could you try out the test bin i have attached. Does that work for you? If not does it show the same error? Quoted I noticed that J-link fails to program the STM32L452, if image size exceeds 256KB. So it works for you with a smaller image? Could you provide both working and not working images? Does doing a erase, then power on reset the target device and then program work with your images? Best regards, Nino

Can not connect to BGM113 Module with Segger J-Link EDU Mini

Hi Jose, Quoted Yes, I already posted: Sorry, I overlooked it the first time. This error appeared to me only when I actively disabled the debug connection to the EDU Mini with the dev kit base board. So it is most likely related to a hardware setup problem. A J-Link issue can be ruled out as the connection works when using the BGM Module + SiLabs dev kit base board. Looking on your schematic from the debug header side everything looks connected correctly. Unfortunately i don't know if this is th...

J-Link error - "Could not measure total IR len. TDO is constant high." SWD stuck in reset

Hello, The error output you are seeing suggest that the JTAG connection is physically not connected properly. At least TDO is not wired as expected and is pulled constantly high.
