Simulation Error

Hi,
When using the simulation libraries of Emwin, I get the GUI_Alloc error occasionally when I
have inserted a breakpoint. I have allocated #define GUI_NUMBYTES 0x800000
memory in the GUI_Conf.c.

Why do I get this error? I have attached a screenshot of the error.

Thanks

Hello,

This error usually appears when accessing an emWin object after it was deleted. This can possibly be a window or a Memory Device.

Best regards,
Adrian

Hi,
I have observed this issue while debugging using breakpoints. When I removed breakpoints there was no issue. I have enabled breakpoints when the window is being created and widgets are being added. At that point nothing is being deleted.
It couldn't be a memory allocation issue, could it?

Thanks

Hello,

Please check your windows to be created successfully. You should also make sure that the memory which is assigned to emWin does not overlap other memory areas (e.g. VRAM).

Best regards,
Adrian

Hi,
I have checked and could not observe any memory overlap. This issue is only observed in case of debugging and when breakpoints are inserted.

Thanks

Hello,

I would recommend you to contact your emWin supplier. He should be able to help you with this.

Best regards,
Adrian
